1.We made it! Digital signature in the Decidim→ Decidim incorporates a new feature: the electronic signature, to support citizen initiatives. It is the first platform in Spain that allows binding and secure digital signatures, a new channel that reinforces face-to-face signatures.
The first pilot test of this technology was carried out in Barcelona, through the Decidim Barcelona platform with the initiative "It is a gender issue: Proposal to promote good practices among the City Police of the Old City quarter through training in gender issues".
This feature can also be applied to any other city or organization that uses the Decidim software, which can configure the steps they consider necessary for a person to sign.
The system ensures a secure and complete procedure, with verification of the uniqueness of the signatures, encryption of personal data and certification of each signature through a time stamp, provided by a third party.
